COMPETITION GUIDELINES

• Competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 years, including overseas applicants
• Entries must be the original work of the applicant
• Entries must not have been published, broadcast, or won a prize in any competition; presentation on the internet via blog or website constitutes publication for the purposes of the prize.
• Entry fee is AUD$10 per poem, payable EITHER online by credit/debit card on PayPal; OR by money order/cheque/credit card to the mailing address below (only Australian cheques accepted)
• There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit
• All entries to be in English, double-spaced and using a standard 12 pt font such as Times New Roman
• Applicant’s name must not appear on the poem
• Entries may be submitted online OR in hard copy to the mailing address on the entry form.
• Fees will not be refunded
• Do not send originals as submissions will not be returned
• Each entry must be accompanied by a Martha Richardson Entry Form
• No corrections will be accepted or correspondence entered into
• Results will be announced on the website: www.ballaratwriters.com in December
• Copyright remains with the author
• The judge’s decision is final
